All Jazzed Up!

All Jazzed Up!, has a nostalgic flavor of 1960s jazz, and is accompanied by a traditional jazz combo. The album is filled with some of the most cherished standards including timeless Bossa Nova hits like “How Insensitive,” “Girl from Ipanema,” “Once I Loved,” and “One Note Samba.” Kaylene has delivered six songs on her album with tasteful, yet challenging flute solos.  Her rendition of Burt Bacharach’s “Wives and Lovers” is very original and showcases her 5-octave range and her impressive scatting.

The Peoples Republic Trio plays brilliantly while capturing the true emotion of Kaylene’s vocals. The best example of this is “Lush Life,” “Funny Valentine,” and “Good Morning Heartache.”  Solo guitarist Rich Mouser adds a unique flavor with his seasoned eclectic styles ranging from blues, Latin, and Flamenco.

Kaylene is also a talented songwriter. Her three originals “My Only Crime,” “Do You Remember,” and “Run Away with Me” are memorable and extremely radio friendly. A perfect example of this is her single “Do You Remember” made a huge splash across the nation on the following independent music charts:  #1 “Chart bound”/Hot AC40  New MusicWeekly NMW!  Top 100 Chart/FMQB/ACQB!, Indie Chart/AC40 NMW!, and Top 100 Chart/NMW!  The three singles from All Jazzed UP! (“Runaway with Me,” “One Note Samba,” and “Once I loved”) have been featured on local radio.
