“I went to church, ate a turkey dinner with my wife and kids; then after the tryptophan wore off, I put on my suit, sipped brandy and headed to Catalina’s. This day started out spiritual but ended with pure jazz decadence—something I would not have traded for anything. What a performer Ms. Peoples is; I felt guilty just watching her. I will never be able to get that song, “Nature Boy,” out of my head again!” Quotes a fan at the show.

June 9, 2011 was exciting as well as monumental for me. With my project coordinator/consultant Robert Barnes by my side, we managed to get into one of the most prestigious studios in LA with 2 days notice (Thank you Gerald Thompson). What was my rush? I decided (on a whim) that it was just time to record a second jazz album. "All jazzed Up" was my first jazz recording since my epiphany that I really should be doing jazz! Why? Because when I opened my mouth to sing, a combination of jazz and Broadway just naturally poured out.

Every artist thinks his/her newest song is a masterpiece and I have to admit I am no different. I struggle with my own ego constantly when creating music. But the real test is how will this song be received when I perform it live in front of an attentive audience on February 3 at the end of Amy Marie’s runway show.

The single “Amy Marie” will be available for sale through purchasing an Amy Marie design.
